February and March Menu

Whilst our cooks are busy working on our spring menu which goes live from 1st April along with our easter goodies, the cold days and chill winds bring the instinctive desire for comfort cooking before spring arrives.

Join us for the return of the ever popular baked potato with a selection of fillings to please everyone and, new for February and March a selection of home-made savoury pies. Our daily-changing soups and stews, served with bread, cheese and fruit, are deeply-flavoured and wonderfully fortifying.

Next, why not treat yourself to our new treacle tart made daily on site which is the perfect conclusion to a stroll round the gardens with the family.

Lastly don’t forget to visit us during the camellia show from 3rd March to 2nd April for our camellia inspired cupcakes.

About the Café

The new Chiswick House Café opened its doors on 1 February 2010, serving delicious sandwiches, soups and the best of modern British cooking to local residents and visitors. The café plays a significant role in the restoration and transformation of one of the most important landscapes in Britain.

Designed by award-winning architects Caruso St John, the contemporary space looks out on the magnificent gardens and neo-Palladian villa, surely one of the best settings in the capital. In 2011 the Café received three RIBA awards including London Building of the Year.

Seating 60 indoors, with space for a further 80 outdoors, the Café offers a wide selection of refreshments throughout the day, as well as catering for private functions in the evening.

The friendly staff at Chiswick House Café are led by a general manager from Company of Cooks.

Private event hire, for celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries, can be arranged in the Café in the evenings for up to 100 people. Enquiries should be directed to the Events team using the form below.

With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not allowed inside the café and must be kept on a short lead in the vicinity of the café building. The café has a covered seated terrace where dog owners with their pets are most welcome to enjoy the new facility.
