Family Pumpkin Party

Saturday 29th October 4.30pm - 7pm

Back by popular demand, our spooky fun-filled pumpkin party entertains all the family.  The theme is anything to do with pumpkins from Halloween to Cinderella with prizes for the best carved pumpkin and the best fancy dress!

The event takes place in the Conservatory and Walled Garden where you can see our own pumpkins and squashes planted by local schoolchildren growing and pick up tips on how to grow and cook these delicious vegetables.

There will be games including pumpkin skittles and a camp fire plus tasty and creative pumpkin themed refreshments on sale to keep us warm. The acclaimed Red Barrows are back to amaze us for a second year with a unique display of wheelbarrow antics!  And as the sun goes down and the Gardens close we will have the Conservatory to ourselves, see your pumpkins glowing in the dark and hopefully spot a bat or two.  

You can come and buy your pumpkins ready to carve at our Pumpkin and Produce Sale in the Walled Garden on Sunday 16th October from 2pm-4pm.

Programme

4.30pm:  Entry to the Walled Garden via the Conservatory               
               (with or without your carved pumpkin)
5pm:       Fancy dress heats for the under 5s, followed by 5-10 year olds & over 10s.  
6pm        Red Barrows Display
6.30pm   Candlelit Pumpkin Procession and display in the Conservatory
7pm        Exit via Corney Road or Duke’s Avenue gates

Tickets

£5 for a family (up to 2 adults, 2 children, or 1 adult, 3 children)
£3 for a family of 2 (1 adult, 1 child)

Extra tickets are £1 for an extra adult or child.
