House Festival - Closures

There will be limited restrictions in the Gardens between 7-9 July

House Festival - 7 July, 3-11pm

The House Festival will once again take place in the gardens surrounding Chiswick House on 7 July 2011. The festival continues to raise a substantial sum, donated by festival organisers Soho House, which directly contributes towards the restoration and upkeep of the gardens.  

The festival organisers together with The Chiswick House and Gardens Trust are making every effort to minimise disruption to park users and local residents, including the introduction of a new external sound monitoring system which has been agreed with the London Borough of Hounslow. This system enables more rigorous and reliable sound monitoring to ensure amplified noise limits are not exceeded.

There will also be a larger police and warden presence this year to facilitate guests leaving the gardens and minimise disruption in the roads bordering the gardens.

We would also like to advise you about the limited restrictions which will be in place in the gardens:

Monday 4 July & Tuesday 5 July
Set up will take place during opening hours – no areas closed to the public

Wednesday 6 July
Festival site around house closed. Café open

Thursday 7 July
Festival site closed. Café closed. Music ends 11pm

Friday 8 July
Festival site closed until 7pm. Café open

Saturday 9 July
Festival site closed until 3pm. Café open
