Volunteer Manager Recruited for Trust Team

Chiswick House and Gardens Trust are pleased to announce the appointment of Annette Pettman to the post of Volunteer Manager

Chiswick House and Gardens Trust are pleased to announce the appointment of Annette Pettman to the post of Volunteer Manager.  This is a new position, especially created to support and develop the rapidly expanding Volunteer Service, and kindly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Volunteering is a very important part of the management of Chiswick House and Gardens. Local volunteers including the well established 'goosefoot' group, kitchen gardeners, conservatory stewards, house guides and event volunteers make a significant contribution to the care and presentation of this famous heritage site.

Annette, an experienced Human Resources manager, is also a local resident and park user. She says 'The aim is to maximise the enjoyment and participation of volunteers and provide the Trust with the willing hands to create a place visitors treasure.'

Director of the Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, Sarah Finch-Crisp said, 'We are delighted that Annette has joined the Trust team to lead our Volunteer Service.  Our volunteers are a tremendous asset, contributing to everyone’s enjoyment and appreciation of Chiswick House and Gardens. Having a dedicated manager will bring them new benefits and opportunities.'
