CHGT Volunteers Receive Awards

Five volunteers were recognised in a special civic ceremony at The Paul Robeson Theatre to celebrate Volunteers Week in June 2010.

Five Chiswick House and Gardens Trust volunteers (photographed below) were recognised among one hundred volunteers in a special civic ceremony at The Paul Robeson Theatre organised by the London Borough of Hounslow to celebrate Volunteers Week in June 2010.

Pam Bater and Gillian Clegg were awarded certificates by the Mayor of Hounslow Cllr Colin Ellar for their splendid work in creating a Chiswick House archive of documents and records associated with this historic site and supporting the Trust with research information and exhibition material.

Susan Kerr was recognised for her wonderful commitment to organising house tour guides in Chiswick House and providing expert tours to the public and visiting groups.

Colin and Kim Heath were congratulated for their years of tremendous service to Chiswick House Gardens as Goosefoot Volunteers, tackling a huge variety of gardening and repair works with great skill and enthusiasm.
