The Southern Walled Garden has been restored and the Northern converted.
The Southern Walled Garden has been extensively restored with repairs to the walls and gates, the relaying of historic paths and the planting of over 140 fruit trees and soft fruits.
Prior to the restoration works the Northern Walled Garden was overgrown and virtually impenetrable. It is now a beautiful cherry tree orchard.
The gardens are used for community volunteering, education programmes and school visits. They are open to the public on special advertised days.
