Chiswick House Gardens seeks new Head Gardener to sow seeds of success.

The search has begun for a new Head Gardener to be responsible for the restoration and future maintenance of one of the world’s most important historic landscapes. A multi million pound regeneration project is underway to restore the 18th-century Chiswick House Gardens. The position has become available due to the generosity of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

The new head gardener will manage and curate the 65 acres of gardens and the historical plant collections as well as taking care of all day to day aspects of garden presentation. They will also need experience managing staff, contractors and volunteers on site. The job calls for a minimum of seven years experience working in first-class gardens, as well as the ability to multi-task and demonstrate a high level of stamina and expertise.
