Camellia Show 2017

Supported by Chiswick House Friends

Open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-4pm CLOSED MONDAYS.

The Camellia Show returns from 3rd March to 2nd April 2017.
Come and admire the rare and historic Camellias in the Grade 1 listed Conservatory, a gorgeous array of blooms; pink, red, white and striped.

Visit the collection of 33 different varieties, many of which are descended from the original planting in 1828. Among them is the unique Middlemist’s red, originally brought from China in 1804 by Londoner John Middlemist, a nurseryman from Shepherds Bush.  It is one of only two in the world known to exist – the other being in Waitangi in New Zealand.

Have the exclusive opportunity to purchase a choice of heritage varieties from our original collection with all income raised or donated to the charity in aid of the continued preservation of the Grade I listed gardens.
Why not make a day of it and stop off for refreshments at the award winning Chiswick House Café and visit the 18th century Villa on weekends.
For schools and group bookings with knowledgeable guides, contact our team on +44 (0)20 3141 3350 or email us using the link on the right.

Camellia Show Garden Tours

This year we will be running free Camellia Show Garden Tours on Wednesdays at 11am and Sundays at 12pm. There will be no free tour on Sunday 19 March.

The tours are guided by our knowledgeable volunteer guides and will cover the history of the gardens, Conservatory and our stunning Camellia collection.  Visitors will also be guided through the historic back sheds area which is not normally open to the public. The 45 minute tours start outside the entrance to the Camellia Show where your Garden Guide will meet you. Tours for up to and including 4 people are not bookable but are on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

For group bookings of 5 or more people, with knowledgeable guides, please contact Louise Randall +44 (0)20 3141 3367 or email Louise.
